
The Justin Saunders-helmed, Montreal-based masters of minimalism are referring to this three-pack as a “retrospective,” one that spotlights a hidden piece of Vans history — namely that the Sk8-Mid was originally released in 1978 as the brand’s first high-cut skate shoe before giving way to the world famous Sk8-Hi in 1979 and reappearing as the Style 37 in the ’90s.
The black pair opts for a monochromatic look and branding, though all three pairs do feature white contrast stitching. White midsoles and special JJJJound tags on the heel complete each look.
